Malaysia Goodson, 22, fell down the steps on the seventh Avenue station at 53rd Avenue

A 22-year-old mom has died after falling down the steps at a New York subway station whereas carrying her daughter’s pram.

Malaysia Goodson was discovered on the platform of seventh Avenue Station at 53rd Avenue on Monday night, police stated.

Her one-year-old daughter, Rhylee, was discovered acutely aware and handled on the scene. She was not severely injured and is with household.

The incident has once more raised the difficulty of accessibility on town’s subway.

Ms Goodson was pronounced lifeless at Mt Sinai West hospital.

She was reportedly born in New York however lived in Stamford, Connecticut.

Her brother Dieshe told Connecticut News 12 his sister had been procuring within the metropolis and had “a variety of baggage and the infant within the stroller”.

“That is a completely heartbreaking incident,” Metropolitan Transport Authority (MTA) spokesman Shams Tarek stated.
