One of many nameless accusers within the intercourse abuse case towards R. Kelly has spoken publicly for the primary time.
“I am not ashamed of my previous anymore,” Lanita Carter told CBS News. “I am not ashamed of what naysayers say.”
Carter, who was as soon as Kelly’s hairdresser, claims the R&B star tried to power her into oral intercourse in 2003. When she resisted, he allegedly masturbated and spat in her face.
Kelly has persistently denied all the fees towards him.

Carter went to police on the day of the incident in February 2003; and later signed a $650,000 settlement with Kelly, wherein the star denied wrongdoing.
Six years later, the singer launched a tune known as Hair Braider, wherein he described having intercourse with a hairdresser.
That led to a different confidential settlement, this time for $100,000, wherein Kelly agreed to cease performing the tune. Once more, he admitted no wrongdoing.
Carter is breaching each of those settlements by coming ahead.
She mentioned she was satisfied to talk by Cook dinner County State’s Legal professional Kimberly Foxx, who appealed for victims to contact her within the wake of the documentary collection Surviving R Kelly.
Responding to Carter’s interview, Kelly’s lawyer mentioned: “These allegations have been absolutely investigated by the police and prosecutors and a choice was made after evaluating all the proof to not deliver any fees”.
Kelly is presently out on bail after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated felony sexual abuse.
